I know, it's been a while. I actually forgot about the blog, until Tanya asked about it. So, I'm sorry ladies. I'm working on it!

So a few weeks ago one of our newer ladies, Leah, brough us wool to learn how to needle felt!

Laura made a flower in no time.

And Aaron made a shrunken head!

Once again we loaded up the car and headed south in persuit of lovely wool to keep us busy for the rest of the year.
We found our annual sheep lady...
And a lot of yarn!

Ok, Melissa isn't good at updating this too often... Sorry!

Laura finished a beautiful sweater from Vogue.

Melissa finished the ballet top from Loop de Loop.

And Aaron and Joe bonded upstairs at the Wine Bar, cheering us on.

Melissa will try her darndest to keep the blog up-to-date throughout the summer hiatus.

Another neat place for patterns is: Berroco.

The Knit Wits have been rocking on the back porch of the Wine Bar, and after sunset its hard to get good pictures. But we will continue to try. In the meantime, here are our favorite links!

Craftster: Anything DIY, with fun, hip folks figuring out how to make any craft their own. There are also many, many knitalongs listed here!

Knitty: Of course, an amazing site for patterns. Google around for knitalongs to see if there were any glitches with any projects.

MagKnits: Another fabulous online knitting mag.

Destash: A self serve blog to destash your stash.

Best knitting blog name? Noelle has introduced us to KnittingForBoozeHags. Laura has been saying for years that we aren't knitters with a drinking problem, we're drinkers with a knitting problem!

This little blog is an effort to revive the Albany Knit Wits internet presence.

The Albany Knit Wits were formed in January of 2003, when two of us met at a party and decided to start knitting at watering holes in Center Square. Our first stop was the Palais Royale (now closed), and the rest is history. (Our design above was created by Renee M. for our Yahoo page)

We currently meet on Thursdays at the wine bar on Lark Street, upstairs (where we can control our lighting).

Our archives can be found at http://www.microrevolt.org/knitwit/, where member and craftivist Cat Mazza graciously created our first blog.

If you would like to join our list-serve, please visit our Yahoo group.

Knit on!
